Logo entries can be viewed here (dark background), and here (light background).
To generate some noise and raise our visibility, we're having a logo design contest! We've lovingly ripped this idea off of Manifesto Games, who stole it from New Crayon Games, who in turn stole it from retro64.com. Hey, why should games people have all the fun?
Entries will be posted on the web site, and winners will be selected by popular vote.
Prizes:
Deadlines:
- Submission deadline: March 31st, 12:00 EST.
- Voting will take place the week after submission, closing April 7th, 12:00 EST.
Full Contest Rules:
- Submission is by email - send your logo to Logo@RoboMontreal.com.
- You don't need to be a Montreal resident to enter.
- Prize winners will be selected by popular vote. Entries will be posted here on the RoboMontreal web site, and voting will be via the polling function of the Forum.
- I reserve the right to extend the submission and voting deadlines.
- You may enter as many different logos as you wish.
- Contest winners will be announced on the RoboMontreal web site.
- I reserve the right of veto as to wether the winning logo actually gets used as the RoboMontreal logo.
- It'd be nice to have a logo that looks good on both dark and light backgrounds. If you choose to have two or more versions of the same logo for this purpose, include all versions with your entry.
- The logo should look good on the web and on paper. In terms of resolution, it's best to create a large or scalable printer-friendly version of the logo, and send me a small, web-friendly version of it. Then, if you win, I'll expect you to send me the large or scalable version.
- By submitting an entry, you agree to have it become RoboMontreal's logo if it is selected.
- Any entries with offensive content will be disqualified.
- Void where prohibited by law, no purchase necessary, insert the usual contest legalities here. Any taxes, duties, tariffs, or other fees associated with receiving the prize where you live are your responsibility, and will not be covered by RoboMontreal.
